Dr Madelein Taylor
Vet

Maddy graduated from University of Queensland in 2014 and worked at a mixed practice in Toowoomba for 4 years before starting at Gatton. She is passionate about medical cases and enjoys a challenge.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her five dogs (Eva, Finnley, Juno, Mouse amd river), three horses (Riley, Aroura and Sienna) and one cat (Cleo).

Dr Megan Bartlett

Meg has been practicing since 2013, starting off in Central Queensland as a mixed practitioner. Her love of travel got the better of her, and has done many years of locuming across Australia and has recently got back from mixed practice in Scotland and England. She enjoys surgery and has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and pathology.

She cohabits with an old Siamese cat named Addy, who she absolutely adores. Addy only tolerates Meg.

Dr. Nate Maisel
Vet

Nate was born and raised in Far North Queensland, on a sugar cane farm, where he worked for the majority of his high school life. After graduating year 12 he moved down to Brisbane with friends and completed his certificate in Veterinary Nursing, which soon led him to chase his passion as a Veterinarian. Over the following years he worked and studied in Brisbane and Gatton, with the goal of becoming a Vet. Having obtained that dream Nate now works at Gatton Vet Surgery and lives in Laidley with his naughty dog, Bomber.

Erin
Practice Manager

Erin has been in the pet industry for the past 18 years, having worked in both pet shops and veterinary clinics. She enjoys how varied the species of animals she works with are and is happy to chat with clients about their pets and any queries or concerns they may have.

When not at work, Erin can be found spending time with her family and many pets, drinking way too much coffee, and reading.

Lisa
Vet Nurse

Lisa came to us from Booval in the middle of 2016 where she previously nursed for 3 years. Prior to that she has nursed in Darwin for 3 years and worked on cattle stations throughout the Northern Territory and North Queensland. She has a Chihuahua called Stitch, a Cattle Dog X called Spar, a cat called Moose and a Chestnut Quarterhorse called Houston. She competes in Breakaway Roping.

Kayla
Vet Nurse

With a passion for vet nursing, Kayla’s favourite part of her job is anaesthesia and caring for patient’s pre-operative and post-operative stages. Outside of work, Kayla has a strong passion for gardening and most of all enjoys spending time with her two fur babies Buddy & Athena. She’s looking forward to meeting our loyal clients!

Carly Richmond
Vet Nurse

As a Vet Nurse, Carly has a particular interest in feline nursing, wildlife care and rehabilitation, and pet behavioural management. Outside of clinic life Carly is active in cat rescue and rehoming, and enjoys horse sports such as horse archery and trail riding. She lives locally with her 4 cats - Squeakie (pictured), Mintie, Muffin and Shortcake, and two Gypsy Cobs named Diva and Zephyr.

Shauna Smith
Vet Nurse

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Shauna has always had a passion for animal’s ever since she was young. In 2021 she completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and has loved it ever since. One of Shauna’s favourite parts of nursing is caring for surgical patients. In her spare time she can be found spending time with her jack Russell Milly and two Shetland pony’s Patchy & Taz.

Natalie Cavanagh
Receptionist

Natalia started her working career as a Zookeeper, before eventually moving into Customer Service in Pet Retail.

An avid traveler, her favorite destination so far is Yellowstone National Park.  

When at home Natalie enjoys the company of her many animals, including 3 Catahoulas and a retired Racehorse named Succotash.
